font size

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong will open Hong Kong Disneyland during his visit to Hong Kong during Sept. 10-12, according to a Hong Kong Special Administrative Regional government press release on Saturday.

The government said Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang had made the announcement Saturday in Beijing.

Tsang said: "Taking advantage of the coming visit, we will, as far as possible, arrange for him to meet with representatives from various sectors of the community and see the latest developments of Hong Kong."

The Hong Kong government is liaising on Zeng's itinerary with the Central Government, said the press release.

Zeng visited Hong Kong for the ceremony of its return to the motherland in 1997 and for the first anniversary celebrations a year later.
