Zhijiang International Peace Culture Festival ready to open
Women rehearse a drum dance for the second China Zhijiang International Peace Culture Festival, at Zhijiang of central south China's Hunan Province Sept. 5, 2005. The peace festival is held on September 6 to remind people of the wartime sufferings as well as promote the culture of peace, at the airport that witnessed Japanese surrender on Aug. 21, 1945. This festival is a leg marking the 60th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the victory of the world's anti-Fascist war.
