Gu Xiulian, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met in Beijing on September 6 with Blanca Flor Bonilla, head of Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) of El Salvador.

Gu spoke highly of FMLN's efforts to promote friendship between the two countries and peoples and appreciated FMLN's "persistent and clear-cut" adherence to the one-China policy.

Gu briefed the guests on China's domestic situation.

Flor, member of FMLN's political committee, expressed the wish to deepen friendly cooperation and exchanges with the Communist Party of China (CPC) and boost the development of the relations between the two countries.

The FMLN delegation arrived in Beijing Monday on a visit to China as guest of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
