Li Bingcai, executive deputy director of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, had a meeting with a delegation of the People First Party from China's Taiwan Province on Wednesday.

Li welcomed the delegation to visit the mainland for cross-straits exchange in the field of science and technology, adding that there are broad prospects for cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

Compatriots living on the two sides should share their wisdom to achieve the goal of rejuvenating the Chinese Nation, the official said.

During its stay in Beijing, the delegation is expected to visit several relevant companies and institutions and held talks on cooperation and exchanges in telecommunications, radio and TV sectors, as well as on the issue of the protection of intellectual rights.

Later, the PFP delegation will visit Shanghai to talk on the similar issues.
