Chinese NPC vice-chairman meets British guests

Lu Yongxiang, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met in Beijing Wednesday with a British delegation, headed by Lord Woolf, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales and member of House of Lords of the British parliament.

The two sides exchanged views on further increasing Sino-British parliamentary contacts.

Woolf is here to attend the 22nd Congress on the Law of the World, which opened here on Monday. He also attended a seminar on the role of law in economic development held by the NPC Wednesday morning.
