Embassy reception marks DPRK's founding anniversaryAmbassador Choe Jin Su of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to China hosted a reception at his embassy residence in Beijing on Wednesday to mark the DPRK's 57th founding anniversary. Addressing the occasion, Ismail Amat, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the Chinese top legislature, said China and the DPRK are friendly neighbors "linked by mountains and rivers" and the relations between the two countries have become more and more solid as time goes by. The two countries have seen increasingly active cooperation and exchanges in various fields and have maintained close contact and coordination in major international and regional issues of mutual concern, said the senior Chinese lawmaker. Ismail Amat said it is China's unswerving policy to develop bilateral friendly cooperation, and China will work with the DPRK to enhance cooperation in various fields and make the China-DPRK friendship more vigorous. The DPRK-China traditional friendship has enjoyed a sound development thanks to the joint efforts by leaders of both countries, said Choe Jin Su.
