Visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Gyurcsany Ference said in Beijing Thursday his country will promote cooperation with China in such fields as economy, culture and tourism.
Gyurcsany told a press conference that the aim of his China tour is to advance the mutually beneficial cooperation.
China has become Hungary's major trade partner in Asia while Hungary is China's main partner in central and East Europe, said Gyurcsany, hoping his visit can help facilitate cooperation in tourism and draw more investment from China.
Koka Janos, minister of economy and transport of Hungary, said that Hungary wants to be the most important destination for Chinese companies to expand business abroad. Hungary can provide the best investing environment, infrastructure, labour force and management for Chinese businesses, he added.
Koka noted that there is still great potential to increase Hungarian exports to China in the fields of mechanics, medicine, electronic products, information products and agricultural technology.
"Hungary and China have kept good relations on politics and economy, but we still need to know more about each other's culture," the Hungarian prime minister said at a promotion conference on Hungary's tourism.
Gyurcsany arrived in Beijing Thursday morning for a two-day working visit.
