China has no intention to plunder or control oil resources and we stand for cooperation and common development on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang at a regular press conference, September 8.

It is natural for China to develop normal friendly relationship and cooperation with other world countries on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, said Qin. We are committed to developing a constructive cooperative relationship with the United States and strengthening cooperation in various fields. In the same sprit, we also conduct mutual-benefiting cooperation with other countries.

In the energy field, China is not only a big consumer but also a big producer. We are engaged in normal cooperation in this field with many countries including the United States, Qin said, and such cooperation is mutual benefiting.
