Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan met Saturday with Klaus Schwab, chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Schwab is here for the annual China Business Summit, which is co-sponsored by the WEF and China Enterprise Confederation.
Zeng described the WEF as an important platform to study world economic issues and promote international economic cooperation andexchanges, saying China has been maintaining good cooperation withthe WEF.
Chinese leaders have attended the Davos forum for many times, which helps facilitate dialogue and communications in economic policies, said Zeng. The WEF hosts the annual Davos forum in Switzerland.
Zeng praised Schwab's active role in promoting cooperation between the WEF and China, hoping the cooperation would continue in sponsoring the China Business Summit in a bid to strengthen communication between Chinese and foreign enterprises and expand cooperation in economics and technologies.
