font size

A total of 213 Chinese cities have won the name of Excellent Chinese Tourism Cities, about one third of China's total.

The newly-added seven cities which have reached the standard of excellent cities included Panjin from Liaoning Province, Xinxiang from Henan Province, Jingdezhen from Jiangxi Province, Meizhou and Maoming from Guangdong Province, Yibin and Ya'an from Sichuan Province.

The seven cities have made a good use of their tourism resources and paid great attention to their tourism design as well as displayed city attraction when competing for the excellent tourism cities.

Assessment of excellent tourism cities started in 1996. Another more than 100 cities are now hoping to win the honor.
