Former US president calls to further US-China anti-terrorism cooperation

The United States and China should continue to work together both on combating terrorism and containing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, former US President William Jefferson Clinton said in Beijing Sunday.

Bill Clinton made the remarks at the end of a memorial ceremony held at the US Embassy in Beijing, which marks the fourth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack against his country.

Clinton is here for a four-day visit to China. This is the first time the US Embassy in Beijing opens a 9/11 memorial ceremony to the media.
