National development parks ratedThe Ministry of Commerce issued its first Development Report of China National Economic and Science Development Parks 2005 in Xiamen. The report includes the analysis of the 54 parks and evaluation of their investment environment. The top 10 of the 33 first national parks are in Tianjin, Guangzhou, Kunshan (Jiangsu Province), Tsingdao (Shandong Pronvince), Caohejing (Shanghai), Yantai (Shandong Province), Beijing, Dalian, Nanjing and Hangzhou. The ranking of the newly approved parks in the country's mid-west are: Hefei (Anhui province), Changsha (Hunan Province), Huhhot (Inner Mongolia), Zhengzhou (Henan Province), Chengdu (Sichuan Province), Taiyuan (Shanxi Province), Xi'an (Shaanxi Province), Kunming (Yunnan Pronvice), Nanchang (Jiangxi Province), Nanning (Guangxi), Shihezi (Xinjiang), Xining (Qinghai), Guiyang (Guizhou Province), Yinchuan (Ningxia), and Lanzhou (Gansu Province). The five industrial parks which enjoy favorable policies for national economic-scientific development zones are also ranked: Suzhou industrial park, Jinqiao exports processing zone (Shanghai), Xiamen Haicang investment park, Ningbo Daxie development zone, and Hainan Yangpu economic park. For the first half year, the 54 parks at the national level generated 660.144 billion yuan of GDP, 1794.911 billion yuan of industrial output, 80.3 billion USD of exports, and 13.61 billion USD of actual utilization of foreign capital.
