    Silver album of the first set of Renminbi banknotes released

    China Banknote Printing and Minting Corp released silver miniature album of the first set of Renminbi banknotes on Sept 13. The album, made of 99.99 percent silver contains Remminbi banknotes with 12 face values. The production of the album employs bass-relief and color printing techniques. The album will be on sale at Beijing Wangfujing Arts & Crafts Mansion and Caishikou department store.

    Death sentence over embassy blast

    An Indonesian militant Iwan Darmawan alias Rois is sentenced to death by the Indonesian court Tuesday for playing a major role in last year's bomb attack on the Australian embassy compound in Jakarta that killed 11 people and injured some 200 others.
