Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu hailed a Sino-Saudi Arabian agricultural cooperation agreement while meeting Saudi Arabian Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghunaim and his party Monday, saying there is a great potential for bilateral cooperation in agriculture.

Chinese Agriculture Minister Du Qinglin and his Saudi Arabian counterpart Fahd Balghunaim just signed an agricultural cooperation agreement in Beijing.

The signing of the agreement is sure to further promote bilateral cooperation and exchanges and boost the common development for agriculture and rural economy in both countries, said Hui while meeting with Balghunaim on Tuesday.

Hui said the relations between China and Saudi Arabia have been growing smoothly since the two countries forged their diplomatic ties.

Meanwhile, the two countries have been supporting each other in international affairs, he added.
