The first "Taiwan food culture festival" will be held in Beijing's Chaoyang Park during the weeklong "National Day" holiday starting from October 1.

The Taiwan food festival is the first of its kind jointly organized by the two sides across the Straits. It is aimed at providing a meeting ground for exchange between people of both sides and promotion of Taiwan food, at which snacks, cakes and handicrafts from the island will be displayed and folk culture performance will be staged.
