Serbian-Montenegro military delegation to visit China

A senior military delegation of Serbia-Montenegro will start an official visit to China to promote cooperation between the two countries, a Serbia-Montenegro official statement said Wednesday.

The delegation, headed by Deputy Defense Minister Vukasin Maras, will leave on Thursday, at the invitation of the Chinese defense ministry, the Serbia-Montenegro Defense Ministry said in the statement.

"Talks between the two delegations will primarily focus on the development of bilateral military-economic cooperation," said the statement, adding that a protocol will be signed on Chinese donations to the Serbia-Montenegro Defense Ministry.

The delegation will meet with the Chinese deputy premier, defense minister, deputy foreign minister, representatives of the General Staff and will visit several Chinese army units and institutions.

The two sides are also expected to discuss cooperation in the preparation of Serbia-Montenegro army members for peace missions, training and other matters, the statement said.
