Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing talked over phone with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, exchanging views on implementing the consensus reached between the heads of state of the two countries recently.

They also discussed related issues of the ongoing six-party talks in Beijing on the Korean Peninsular nuclear issue.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and US President George W. Bush met in New York Tuesday before attending the summit on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.
