    French Culture Year concluded on Mid-Autumn Festival

    Senior Chinese official Li Changchun and French Senate Christian Poncelet attended an evening gala party in magnificent and gorgeous Summer Palace in Beijing's western suburbs late Saturday to conclude the The Year of France in China. In the gala party permeated with festivity, Chinese and foreign visitors went boating in elegant, scenic Kunming Lake in the moonlight to appreciate and, enjoy the water-curtain fountains, the lovely performance of traditional Kunqu Opera and vivid handicraft making.

    Hong Kong celebrates Moon Festival

    A party gala is held on the evening of Sept.17 in Hong Kong to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, which falls on Sept.18 this year. Tung Chee-hwa, Vice-Chairman of CPPCC, Gao Siren, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong SAR, Donald Tseng, Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive, and Yang Wenchang,commissioner of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong SAR, watched the gala.

    Space exhibition in Nanjing

    To mark the 2nd anniversary of the launch of the Shenzhou V manned space shuttle, an exhibition is staged Sept.17-18 in Nanjing city. Exhibits include, in practicality or models, Shenzhou space craft, satellites, space suits, the lanuch system, etc.
