Chinese State councilor Chen Zhili Sunday visited an exhibition featuring major science and technology achievements between 2001 and 2005.

The exhibition, which was opened in Beijing Sunday, demonstrates the development of the science and technology and their roles in promoting economic and social development in China in the past five years.

Guided by "innovation" and "industrialization," the Chinese science and technology circle has been contributing a lot to the sustainable development of China, Chen said.

The 10-day exhibition is sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Finance.
