Delta Air Lines (DAL) and Northwest Airlines may seek merger after the big airlines both announced on September 14 their seeking for bankruptcy protection from the court, analysts say. The merger request by US Airways Group Inc. and America West Holdings Corp. has recently been approved by the court.
