Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Djibouti Prime Minister Dileita Mohamed Dileita agreed in Beijing Monday to further bilateral friendship and cooperation during their talks.

Wen spoke positively of the development of bilateral relations in the past 26 years and the expansion of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Wen suggested that the two sides strengthen political exchanges, expand communication between governmental departments, parliaments, political parties and friendship groups of the two countries, and enhance consultation, coordination and cooperation on bilateral and major international issues.

He said the two sides should explore cooperation potentials and China encourages its enterprises to take part in Djibouti's construction and import more products from Djibouti.

The Chinese side will, as always, provide assistance within its capacity for Djibouti's development, said Wen.

He said the two countries should also expand cooperation in culture, education and health.

Wen voiced his appreciation for the Djibouti government's one-China policy.

Dileita agreed with Wen and said Djibouti and China have conducted fruitful cooperation in various forms since the two countries set up diplomatic relations.

He said Djibouti attaches importance to bilateral friendship and cooperation and will continue to adhere to the one-China policy.

After the talks, Wen and Dileita attended a signing ceremony for an agreement on bilateral economic and technological cooperation between the two governments.
