HP acquires Peregrine for $425 million

HP announced Monday that it signed an agreement with Peregrine Systems, Inc. pursuant to which HP will acquire Peregrine in a cash merger for $26.08 per share representing an aggregate equity value of $425 million.

The two sides are expected to complete the acquisition in Q1 2006.
