Top Swedish business magazine devotes special issue to ChinaVeckans Affarer, the largest business weekly of Sweden, held a symposium on Chinese economy in Stockholm on September 20, and launched a 156-page special issue on China. Along with China's rapid economic development, Swedish businesses are showing increasing interest in China and are in urgent need to know the profound changes happening there, chief editor of the magazine said at the symposium. However, many people don't have an overall picture of China's advancement so he planned a year ago to launch a special issue. This year, he personally led a team to China and interviewed more than 100 Chinese and Swedes doing business in China. Through descriptions of various people, they tried to present China as a whole from economic, social, cultural, educational and other perspectives. The special issue was warmly received by Swedish enterprises, who also actively participated in the symposium. Veckans Affarer celebrated this year its 40th birthday, and this is the second time it devotes a special issue to a single country. The first one was in 1981, running an introduction to Norway, whose economy thrived after discovery of the North Sea oil field. By People's Daily Online |
