Airbus disclosed in Beijing on Wednesday that the total delivery of Airbus airplanes to China will reach 65 by the end of this year, a new record in delivery, according to the overseas edition of People's Daily on September 22.
Laurence Barron, Airbus China president, made the announcement during the ongoing Beijing International Aviation Exhibition. The figure accounts for more than one sixth of the company's total expected delivery around the world. According to an aviation market forecast for the coming 20 years by Airbus, the total world's delivery of new airplanes to China will reach nearly 1,800, which means that the world's airplane manufacturers will deliver 90 to China annually. So far this year, Airbus has received an order of 69 airplanes from five airlines on the Chinese mainland.
