Nanbao 35-2 (NB 35-2)oilfield, an independent field under China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC) Ltd, in Bohai Sea area has gone into successful operation. This is learned from CNOOC on September 21 in Beijing, according to the overseas edition of People's Daily on September 22. There are nine oil wells in the field so far with a daily crude oil output of 3,200 barrels.

The peak output of the oilfield will be expected to reach 18,600 barrels a day.

Zhou Shouwei, deputy general manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation and president of CNOOC Limited, said the successful operation shows a perfect explanation for the promise that CNOOC would obtain output growth with high efficiency. Many projects of the company will be put into operation within the year.
