Vietnam will organize the Vietnam- China trade fair in northern Lao Cai province in November, according to the Vietnamese Trade Ministry on Thursday.
The fair slated for Nov. 2-6 will showcase such Vietnamese and Chinese products as farm produce, foodstuffs, electrical and electronic appliances, garments, furniture, handicrafts, machinery and construction materials at 500 booths.
The five-day event is designated to help boost the bilateral ties, especially in the fields of trade, economy, investment and tourism.
Vietnam and China has targeted to reach two-way trade of 15 billion US dollars in 2010. The turnover, which stood at 6.74 billion US dollars in 2004, up 45.3 percent against 2003, is expected to reach 8 billion dollars this year.
As of Aug. 22, China had 346 operational projects with total registered capital of 710.4 million dollars, ranking the 14th among 62 countries and regions investing in Vietnam.
