China, Italy to promote military relations
font size

Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan said in Beijing Friday that China values its friendly military ties with Italy and is ready to further the relations between the two armies.

In a meeting with Italian Deputy Defense Minister Salvatore Cicu, Cao said that while the bilateral relations have smoothly progressed, the military ties have been enhanced with frequent high-level visits, communication between the headquarters of the general staff, and cooperation in military technology.

Cicu said he hoped the two ministries would enhance mutual trust and improve exchanges to promote the bilateral military and political ties.
