Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang and legislators will visit the Pearl River Delta from Sept. 25 to 26, the HK government said Friday.

It is the first time that all HK's legislators have been invited to visit the mainland as a group, the government said in a press release.

"I hope this step will be a steady one and a successful one in order for us to explore a wider vision for the future," Tsang was quoted as saying.

Tsang will be the group's leader with Legislative Council President Rita Fan the co-leader. Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Frederick Ma and the Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang will also join.

The group will visit Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and Zhongshan, meeting local officials and touring socio-economic, industrial and infrastructural facilities. Guangdong provincial government leaders will brief the group on the province's latest developments.

The group will begin the trip with a ride on the Metro and a visit to the Hi-tech Industrial Park in Shenzhen. They will then attend a luncheon at Wuzhou Guest House hosted by the Shenzhen municipal government.

Next they visit the Dongguan Exhibition Center and the SAE Magnetics Dongguan Nancheng Plant. In Guangzhou they will meet provincial government leaders and attend a dinner before taking a cruise on the Pearl River.

The next day the group will visit the Guangzhou Honda Automobile Company, the Guangzhou Science City, University City and library at the Sun Yat-sen University and later a community center in Zhongshan, before returning to Hong Kong.
