China's economic efficiency indicators of tobacco production in the January-June period of 2005:

sales expenses: 4.95 million yuan; growth rate: 9.4 percent;

total profits: 22.94 million yuan; growth rate: 15.6 percent.

The industrial statistics include all state-owned enterprises and the non-state-owned ones with annual sales income over 5 million yuan (602,410 US dollars).
