Ship supplies fuel from four directions
A naval exercise to test the fuel equipment of naval ships was held in East China Sea on September 25, 2005. A fleet composed of supply ship, missile destroyer and frigate held the exercise on fuel supply. On voyage, the supply ship supplied naval fuel to a missile destroyer for the first time, and at the same time supplied military diesel to two frigates from its two shipboards. It also refilled aviation kerosene for a vertically-suspended "Super Frelon" helicopter. It succeeded in fuel supply from four directions.

Jin Renqing honored Finance Minister of the Year for Asia
On Sept.24, Chinese Minister of Finance Jin Renqing (left) accepts the prize of The Finance Minister of the Year for Asia 2005 from Will Goodheart of the Emerging Market, part of Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc which is one of the largest and most respected providers of financial information worldwide. Jin is in Washington for the joint annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.This is the second time that foreign prestigious finance media has granted the honor to Chinese Finance Minister. The first was by The Banker in June.

A sigh of relief as Rita shows mercy

Rita pounded the US Gulf Coast causing widespread damage and leaving more than 1 million people without power, but failed to deliver the feared repeat of Hurricane Katrina's devastation four weeks ago.
