Chinese leader greets centennial of Beijing Hospital

Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong attended a ceremony to mark Beijing Hospital's 100th anniversary of its founding in Beijing Sunday.

Zeng, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, conferred certificates to experts and outstanding doctors of the Beijing Hospital in the celebration ceremony.

Wang Gang, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC addressed the ceremony, complimented the hospital for its unusual contributions made in medical-care, education and research sectors and health care work conducted for the people and officials in the past 100 years.

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi sent a congratulation letter to the meeting.
