Two Muslims wounded in mosque shooting in deep south Thailand

Two Muslim men were wounded by four unidentified gunmen in front of a mosque in Thailand's southern border province of Yala Tuesday morning, reported the Thai News Agency.

One of the victim, Leemae Sala, was shot in his torso, while the other, Awae Leedeng, was injured in his right arm.

Both men, aged 62, were sent to Yala Hospital.

According to an initial investigation, police said the four gunmen, riding in a pick-up truck, shot at the victims as they stood in front of a mosque in Raman district.

Officers found spent shell casings from AK47 assault rifles at the scene.
