China urges Japanese PM to make right decision in second term
font size

China hopes Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro to make right decisions in view of the overall situation of Sino-Japanese relations during his second term in office, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in Beijing Tuesday.

Qin said at a regular press conference that China has always adhered to the principles carried in the three political documents signed by China and Japan, namely Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, Sino-Japanese Peace and Friendship Treaty, and Sino-Japanese Joint Declaration.

China wishes to develop long-term friendly and cooperative relations with Japan in line with the principle of "taking history as a mirror and looking forward to the future," Qin said.
