Party official stresses education of Party members in colleges, universities
font size

A senior Party official on Tuesday required members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) who work in institutions of higher learning to actively throw themselves into the education campaign on keeping Party's vanguard nature.

He Guoqiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the central leading group of the campaign, said CPC members in colleges and universities should work to expand the impact of the campaign among the teachers and students.

"The campaign should be carried out to solve prominent existing problems and achieve real effects," said He when visiting the Peking University.

He said the Party education campaign in colleges and universities should focus on how to better ensure these institutions to follow the socialist direction when running schools and raise their education to higher levels.
