Senior CPC leader back to Beijing after European tour

Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, returned to Beijing on Wednesday following a two-week visit to four European countries.

Wu, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, started the visit on Sept. 15 and toured Malta, Sweden, Finland and Belarus at the invitation of the four governments.

During his visit, Wu had in-depth exchange of views with leaders of the four countries on issues of common concern. They also reached extensive consensus on further promoting the relations between China and the four nations.
