President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou-Nguesso on Friday concluded his five-day state visit to China and left Shenzhen for home.
During his stay in Shenzhen, an economic powerhouse in south China's Guangdong Province, Sassou met with Mayor of Shenzhen Xu Zhongheng and visited Shenzhen-based Huawei Technologies, a leading telecom equipment supplier in China.
The president said the telecommunications industry is a key area for economic and trade cooperation between Congo and China, and expressed the hope that the two sides could conduct more fruitful cooperation in the future.
Sassou kicked off his visit on Sept. 26. During his stay in Beijing, Sassou met or held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao.
