| China celebrates 56th founding anniversary |
|
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a speech at a reception marking the 56th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, September 30, 2005. About 1,000 Chinese and foreign diplomats, scholars and people from all walks of life were present at the reception.
Among those who were present at the reception included members of the Standing Committee of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Jia Qinglin, Zeng Qinghong, Huang Ju, Wu Guanzheng and Li Changchun and other party and government leaders.
