French gross domestic product (GDP) rose 0.1 percent in the second quarter after the 0.4-percent increase in the first quarter, French national statistics office Insee said on Friday.
If the GDP remains unchanged throughout this year, full year GDP would be up 1.2 percent from the year before, said Insee.
According to Insee, investment was down 0.2 percent in the quarter, revised from down 0.4 percent in the second estimate, after a 1.5-percent rise in the first.
Consumer spending fell 0.2 percent, revised from a 0.3 percent drop and compared to a rise of 0.7 percent in the first quarter.
Government spending was up 0.3 percent, revised from 0.4 percent, after a rise of 1.3 percent in the first quarter.
Exports of goods and services were up 1.0 percent and imports rose 1.1 percent, Insee said.
Total domestic demand rose 0.2 percent in the second quarter.
