Four Pakistanis convicted of smuggling narcotics into Kuwait with the intent of trading were hung on Sunday, Kuwait's official KUNA news agency reported.
Head of Kuwaiti criminal execution and communications department Najeeb Al-Mulla was quoted as saying after the execution that the first of the four drug dealers was arrested in possession of heroin capsules upon his entry at Kuwait International Airport with market value of 220,000 Kuwaiti dinars (748,000 US dollars).
The second was arrested in possession of heroin worth 16,000 dinars (54,400 dollars) and the third was arrested with a stash worth 233,000 dinars (792,200 dollars) and the fourth with heroin with market value of 87,000 dinars (295,800 dollars), he said.
This was the second such execution in Kuwait in 2005. Two drug traffickers were hung earlier this year.
