Russian president sends condolences to Indonesia over Bali bombings

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday sent condolences to Indonesia over Saturday's bombing attacks on the Asian country's resort island of Bali, that left atleast 32 people dead and more than 100 injured.

In the message to Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono,Putin said the latest attacks harshly confirm the fact that international terrorism is a threat to the international community requiring even more unrelenting and firm use of all measures to eradicate it.

Putin also condemned the bombings, describing the attack as "barbaric" and said that it underscored the need to pursue international efforts to combat terrorism.
