Chinese mainland extends sympathy to typhoon-hit Taiwan compatriots
font size

The Beijing-based Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits Tuesday condoled with Taiwan compatriots on their loss caused by typhoon in a telegram to its Taiwan counterpart, the Foundation for Exchange across the Taiwan Strait.

Typhoon Longwang, which means Dragon King in Chinese, raged across Taiwan on the weekend, leaving one person dead, tens of people injured and causing a great loss of property.

The association asked the foundation in the telegram to convey its "sincere" sympathy with and solicitude to the disaster-hit Taiwan compatriots.
