Vietnam has earned 2.22 billion US dollars from footwear exports so far this year, 13 percent more than the same period last year, according to Vietnam's Ministry of Industry Tuesday.
Local enterprises are seeking and expanding more export outlets, including the United States, Japan, Canada and South Africa, said the ministry, noting that the sector in the third quarter of this year faced EC's lawsuit against Vietnam's dumping leather footwear on the EU markets.
