Kuwait-Iraq relations to be consolidated

Visiting Iraqi Parliament Speaker Hajem Al-Hassani called for consolidating bilateral relations between his country and Kuwait for the good of both states, the Kuwait News Agency reported on Tuesday.

After conferring with his Kuwaiti counterpart Jassem Al-Kharafi,Al-Hassani said that his talks in Kuwait dealt with "the Iraqi political situation and what lies ahead."

The Iraqi speaker added that the Kuwaiti response to his ideas was "quite positive."

He stressed that Iraq was determined to have excellent relations with its neighbors.

Al-Hasani arrived in Kuwait on Monday after his official visit to Jordan.
