The Indonesian government finally issued its global bond worth 1.5 billion US dollars, up from the initial plan of 1 billion dollars, as demand soared, a senior official said Thursday.
"The incoming bids totaled 4.25 billion dollars. The bond was oversubscribed," Minister of Finance Jusuf Anwar told a press conference at his office here.
The bond value was decided Wednesday night, he said. The bond comprises the 10-year "Indo-16" bond worth 900 million dollars and the "Indo-35" bond worth 600 million dollars for a 30-year term.
The offered yield is 7.62 percent for the Indo-16 and 8.2 percent for the Indo-35, he said.
