East China province reports fast-growing foreign tradeEast China's Shandong Province reported a foreign trade of 48.85 billion US dollars in the first eight months this year, up 27.3 percent over last year's same period, according to the provincial statistics bureau. Figures from the bureau show that the province exported 29.47 billion US dollars of goods in the eight-month period, up 35.1 percent, and it imported 19.38 billion US dollars of goods in the same period, a year on year rise of 17.1 percent. Agreements involving 17.27 billion US dollars of overseas investment were signed by the province in the eight-month period, a year on year rise of 47.3 percent.
