The United States has offered huge rewards for capturing two masterminds of the 2002 Bali bombings in Indonesia, the State Department said on Thursday.

"The Department of State has authorized rewards for two Jemaah Islamiyah members. A reward of up to 10 million dollars is offered for Dulmatin, who is believed to be one of the masterminds of the 2002 bombings in Bali, Indonesia," State Department spokesman Seam McCormack said at a briefing.

Moreover, a reward of up to 1 million dollars is offered for Umar Patek, another mastermind of the Bali bombings, McCormack said.

Dulmatin, an electronics specialist with training in al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan, is a senior figure in the Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist organizations, while Patek is believed to have served as an assistant for the field coordinator of the Bali bombings, McCormack said.

A total of 202 people were killed and 209 others injured in the Bali bombings and were considered the deadliest act of terrorism in the Indonesian history.
