| From Shenzhou-1 to Shenzhou-5 |
|
 China's first manned space flight was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Oct 15, 2003. At 9 a.m. sharp the Shenzhou-5 manned spaceship blasted off.
 At 6:23 a.m. Oct 16, 2003, the Shenzhou-5 manned spaceship successfully landed at the main landing site in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The actual landing point was 4.8 km away from the theoretic point and the capsule remained intact. China's first manned spaceflight succeeded as the astronaut Yang Liwei stepped out of the capsule.
 The Long March-2F carrier rocket carrying Shenzhou-5 spaceship is transported to the launching area. At 9 a.m. Oct 15, 2003, the Shenzhou-5 blasted off at the Jiuquan Satellite Launching Center.
 The Shenzhou-4 spaceship, which was launched on Dec 30, 2002, landed in central Inner Mongolia on Jan 5, 2003.
 Shenzhou-3 spaceship landed in central Inner Mongolia at 4 pm Apr. 1 2002, signifying success of the China's 3rd experimental spaceflight.
 Home-developed unmanned spaceship Shenzhou-2 is docking with Long-March 2F rocket carrier. At 1 am January 10, 2001, the Shenzhou-2 blasted off at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
 China's first experimental spaceship Shenzhou's flight from Nov 20 to Nov 21, 1999 succeeded. The photo shows the newly built Beijing spaceflight Center, which was put into use during the flight of Shenzhou spaceship.
 Technicians performed technical treatment on the capsule of Shenzhou spaceship. After completing space experiments China's first experimental spaceship Shenzhou landed in central Inner Mongolia at 3: 41 a.m. Nov 21, 1999.
