Fresh aftershocks hit Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir Sunday afternoon, triggering panic among local residents, a local TV channel reported Sunday.
The aftershocks were felt at around 2 p.m. local time, and the residents ran out of their homes out of fear, the TV channel reported.
Srinagar has been hit by dozen-odd aftershocks since Saturday when a powerful earthquake of 7.6 magnitudes hit the region, leaving a trail of destruction.
So far 350 people have been killed and 962 others injured in Indian-controlled Kashmir due to Saturday's earthquake.
Some 2,000 houses have been damaged, and disaster management authorities are working round the clock to rescue people who are still trapped in the debris.
The epicenter of the earthquake, which lasted some four-and-a- half minutes and measured 7.6 on the Richter scale, lay in Muzaffarabad, 95 km north of Islamabad in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir and 115 km northwest of Srinagar.
Personnel of the Indian army and air force are helping the civilian authorities in relief and rescue operations.
Meanwhile, 6.0-magnitude aftershocks were also felt in parts of Pakistan, no casualties reported so far.
