"Tenth Five-Year" bring job opportunities to 42 mln Chinese

The latest statistics from Ministry of Labour and Social Security show that from 2001 to August this year more than 42 million urban job opportunities have been created, two million more than the objective set during the ��Tenth Five-Year�� period. Meanwhile, the urban registered unemployment rate has been controlled below five percent.

In the past five years, some 3 million public welfare vacancies have been offered, nearly one hundred new professions emerged, enriching the urban employment structure and broadening the channels for employment.
