    Israeli, American professors share Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences

    Professor Thomas C. Schelling of the University of Maryland made a speech in the university on Oct 10, 2005 after he learnt he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. Schelling and Aumann shared the 1.3-million-dollar prize "for having enhanced our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis," the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said.

    Medicine price falls 40 percent in China

    Rescue underway in Indian-controlled Kashmir

    Rescuers carry to a hospital people injured in an earthquake in Uri, Indian-controlled Kashmir, Oct. 9, 2005. The earthquake hitting Indian-controlled Kashmir has left 799 people dead and 900 others injured, Indian officials said on Oct. 10.

    Shenzhou VI to be launched between Oct. 12-15

    Palace Museum marks 80th birthday
